Pinterest Preparedness – 5 Profiles to Follow for Survival

Ah, Pinterest! A wonderful place! Where else can a consumer sit for hours, staring at things they want, and save links in an attractive personalized portfolio of images? The answer: nowhere.

Pinterest is growing in popularity among Americans, and for good reason: it’s so very American to WANT MORE! Can we blame ourselves? It’s the American dream: keep up with the Jones’ who live in a golf community (or maybe a restored townhome), drive a Chrysler 300C, and have two perfect kids who excel in everything!

But Pinterest offers so much more than mere images. You can LEARN from Pinterest. In particular, you can learn to SURVIVE!

These 5 pinners are connoisseurs of prep (that is prepping). They have organized thorough portfolios of survival and preparedness pins for you to learn from. Follow them. Love them. You’ll thank us when the world ends.

Camping Survival

Camping Survival is an awesome web store based out of Syracuse, NY. Their website has everything you need to survive anything, and their Pinterest is filled with all the pins you need to LEARN how to survive anything. Follow all their boards, and watch their feed like a hawk. You’ll never replace the invaluable lessons you learn from their pinning.

Cynthia Ludlow

From what we can tell, Cynthia Ludlow is a wholesome American woman who loves gardening, grand-parenting, scrapbooking and quilting. She also can put together an informative Pinterest portfolio. In fact, her Preparedness board is VERY thorough. Follow it. You’ll learn a LOT.

Taylor Robinson

From what we can tell, it would appear Mr. Robinson is a helicopter pilot. We’re uncertain; we don’t personally know him. What we can tell is he’s one heck of a Pinterest pinner. Follow his profile, you won’t regret it. The man pins a LOT of survival info. He’s also got some good pins on guns, and we here at Geared Magazine LOVE guns. They’re cool. They go boom. They protect you from looters when SHTF. Taylor pins guns. Follow Taylor.

Kaylyn Mabey

We know almost nothing about Kaylyn Mabey, save for one thing: the woman pins some awesome DIY and survival pins. Check out her boards, there’s a lot of information to divulge. You can really learn a lot from this gal.

Landon Browning

Here’s a mysterious guy with no Pinterest bio – but what he lacks in biographical information he makes up for with style. He’s got some good survival pins, and some great firearms pins as well. Worth the follow for sure. Check him out.

And a sixth for good measure:

Geared Magazine has a Pinterest too! We’ve (shamelessly) spent hours upon hours arranging survival preparedness blogs. Follow us! It may save your life.

While you’re at it, check out our Facebook. We appreciate your “thumbs up.”

Go Forth and Follow

Okay, okay, okay. We know these 5 (+1) Pinners aren’t the only ones on Pinterest with survival boards. Leave a comment and share your own favorite Pinterest preparedness boards.

Some great pinners were mentioned above and I will make a point to follow them. I also pin preparedness ideas and tweet them, too. Look for me on Pinterest as Carolyn Evans-Dean or on Twitter as @bystanderbooks . The great thing about getting linked to other like-minded folks is that we can all share good information and learn from eachother. Happy pinning!

Links would be really nice. :) Some people pin too many things, any old thing, and it makes it hard to go through them all. lol I doubt they find the time to go back through them all themselves. ;)

Mom with a prep, Ed Todd and survival mom are great pinners! I do go back through my pins and read them and share them with my brother who is not on Pinterest but is very like minded for prepping.
