Summer’s here, and with summer comes outdoor adventure. Don’t haul your gear to your campsite in that outdated bag your mom saved from your high school days. Carry your stuff in style on your next adventure with the Herschel Supply Co.‘s Crest (Ripstop) backpack.
Herschel is a Vancouver based bag manufacturer owned by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack. They named their company after the small town their family settled in after migrating from Scotland. This same sense of nostalgia is seen in their products, which display classic, timeless looks paired with smart, modern function.
This isn’t just a fashion pack. The thing is light and durable. It’s made of a breathable, light weight ripstop material in your choice of red or blue. It also features faux leather patches all around that have loops to secure your gear.
The Crest’s straps contour to your body, and are fully adjustable so you can distribute the weight of your gear evenly. It also has a lumbar strap for weight distribution, and it has side pockets to stash stuff you need handy.
Since it contours to your back, the bag’s back is lined with padded, breathable mesh that’s vented down the spine for comfort and airflow. This feature, thankfully, will keep your back from being too sweaty when hiking along in the hot summer months.
Back to looks. The Crest (Ripstop) looks good! It’s fashionable – you don’t just wear a back like this in the woods, you use it to carry your stack of college books to graduate school in the fall. Or, you use it as a gender-neutral diaper bag when you’re going out for a long day with the family. Whatever you use it for, you’ll look like a king when you’re getting into it – it’s lined with some awesome striped cloth.
Leave it to Canada to know a thing or two about designing a durable, practical woods bag. But this thing is far from strictly utilitarian – put it on your back and you’ll look like the man. Get one!
